old school..

Never There By Cake.

I need your arms around meI need to feel your touch

I need your understanding

I need your love, so much

You tell me that you love me so

You tell me that you care

But when I need you (baby)

Baby, (you're never there)On the phone long, long distance

Always through such strong resistance

First you say you're too busy

I wonder if you even miss me

Chorus:

Never there

You're never there

You're never ever, ever, ever, there

(Trumpet Break)

A golden bird that flies away

A candle's fickle flame

To think I held you yesterday

Your love was just a game

A golden bird that flies away

A candle's fickle flame

To think I held you yesterday

Your love was just a game

You tell me that you love me so

You tell me that you care

But when I need you (baby)

Baby!

Take the time to get to know me

If you want me why can't you just show me

We're always on this roller coaster

If you want me why can't you get closer

Chorus X2

Love these songs since primary school? Can’t really remember when I first heard it but it sure walked the journey towards adulthood with me πŸ™‚

Side note: Who says I’m an emo kid?! This song has got this chirpy mood, k! Imagine it accompanied me through all these years! Whoever calls me emo again will get SPANKED! Rah! πŸ˜›

Anyways, thanks to Robin, I finally got the full albums of Savage Garden. (I SAID THANKS HOR!!! πŸ˜› )
Sad that Savage Garden decided to split up 😦 I’m a loyal fan of their music. Love how they write their songs with those super sweet and sentimental lyrics. But (if you still do not know) when I listen to music, the melodies/tunes catches my attention FIRST, then the lyrics. Heh.

Tracks like (Click on title for lyrics) really caught my attention: (which i think it’s actually the entire album LOL)

  1. Two Beds and a Coffee Machine (Fell in love with how the music is being played)
  2. Tears of Pearls
  3. Universe
  4. Carry on Dancing
  5. Break Me Shake Me
  6. A Thousand Words
  7. Santa Monica
  8. Chained to You (the lyrics totally describes how i feel bout “something”)
  9. Crush and Burn
  10. Hold Me
  11. I Don’t Know You Anymore
  12. I Knew I Loved You
  13. The Lover After Me (Love the lyrics of this song…)
  14. To the Moon and Back
  15. I Want You
  16. Truly Madly Deeply

The last song, I bet everyone knows the lyrics by heart πŸ˜›

I wonder if anyone else remembers this song…

Title: Hotel California

--------------------------On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinking to myself

This could be Heaven or this could be Hell

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor

I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California

Such a lovely place

Such a lovely place

Such a lovely face

Plenty of room at the Hotel California

Any time of year

Any time of year

You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes Benz

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,

Please bring me my wine

He said, 'we haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine'

And still those voices are calling from far away

Wake you up in the middle of the night

Just to hear them say

Welcome to the Hotel California

Such a lovely place

Such a lovely place

Such a lovely face

They're livin' it up at the Hotel California

What a nice surprise

What a nice surprise

Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling

The pink champagne on ice

And she said 'we are all just prisoners here, of our own device'

And in the master's chambers

They gathered for the feast

They stab it with their steely knives

But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was

Running for the door

I had to find the passage back

To the place I was before

'Relax,' said the night man

We are programmed to receive

You can checkout any time you like

But you can never leave

Guess most of you guys should know what sorts of music will swoon me off my feet πŸ˜›

Extreme – More than Words, Colin Raye’s Love me are those few of my favourites. I have tons of songs I like but too many to name. Some of these songs brought back memories, some are there to serve as reminders and some were listened to lighten the mood.

Someone once told me that he had the impression that I can play a musical instrument… Well, does playing the recorder count? πŸ˜› But he mentioned I looked like a keyboardist. WHAHAHHA πŸ˜€

I wanted to learn the bass, violin, guitar, keyboard,Β  the flute, drums, piano and harp.Β  Yeah, I was a kid who wanted to do alot of things but couldn’t. 😦 I’m very into string and pipe instruments actually. Now at this age, I guess the interest is still there but not much of the enthusiasm.

It’s a real pity.
